Ending the week on a good note
Last night rounded up being entertaining. I left from the conference I was at, to drop my car at home. I drove to the conference in the morning but the hotel is literally three blocks from my home. I dropped the car off because we were to have drinks before dinner, and I will not drink and drive.
The drinks were stiff and I got to talk technical with some disk geeks. The dinner was great and well worth staying with the convention goers. When I left, I felt a little buzz but I needed to get home for two reasons: Laundry and LOST.
I got inside my apartment and saw that my cable box was not recording LOST like it should have been doing but luckily my TiVo was right on the ball and started recording on time. I started recording the HD version on my cable box and took my laundry downstairs and when I returned, I watched the first 20 minutes on my Tivo and finished LOST off of the cable box.
LOST gave away a lot of information. Not a lot of it made sense. Time travel stuff with the ships communications officer was confusing because it didn't provide enough subtext, except that he talked with Penny. Desmonds time travelling was interesting, showing that Penny's father bought the diary of the captain of the Black Rock, at an auction. The end was weird where Daniel looked in his notebook and it stated 'Desmond is my constant'
I fell asleep on my couch sometime after LOST and forgot about my laundry. I ended up going and getting it around 3:00 AM. I was tired and I had to be at the conference at 8:30 AM. It was hard going back to bed but I was fine.
Today I am debating doing the trip to Vegas. I don't have a room yet and leaving in the early evening, I know I will hit traffic. I think I will see if I can get a free room then drive out around 7 or 8 PM. If I can get a room, I should call Matt or Bink and see what they are doing. I can also wind up at the Dive Bar (if it is still there) or the Double Down. If I don't go to Vegas, I won't mind. I am kinda beat.

I didn't forget about you.
Its not good when I out my blogging pencil down for so long. I have been so pre-occupied that blogging got put on hold.
Monday night I performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. My co-workers came to the theater to see me perform. It was an ok show, it could have been better. I performed with Kendell, not only is she a complete doll but its easy to perform with her. She and I could have done better but we didn't get our game out during our first beat.
After the show I had drinks with co-workers. We sat outside Birds for dinner and more drinks. After my work pals left I went inside and had some final words with my improv pals and then left for the night.
Tuesday morning I registered for a new improv workshop. It is with Billy and I perform on April 6th and May 4th I think. I also went to the DMV to register the car and change the title. I got to the DMV and it wasn't an unpleasant trip but after forkkng over $177 I was told my car had to be smog checked. I went to a smog check place and when the guy popped my hood, he said "I can't pass this! Its aftermarket". He bitched because of all the mods. I told him it will still pass emissions since I still have cat-back exhaust. He didn't care, he wouldn't pass me. I saw someone at another smog station at an auto shop with his Evo. I thought I would be able to smog pass here, I hoped at least. Sure enough I got a pass and I headed back to the DMV. I still had to get my car inspected and verified. Finally after four hours, I passed and got plates.
Wednesday I just ended up copying DVDs and got downloaded Leopard to try out but I am not having an easy time in converting the Apple dmg file to an iso. Today I am at a Netapp conference. It is only doors from my house. There is free soda and food. Drinks to come I think. Other than that I am excited about LOST.
This weekend I might do Vegas. Its been a while since I have been there and its the last weekend that I will be free since I have improv every Saturday starting next week.

Just a lazy weekend
The Oscars are on tonight, so what? I don't care, I don't get one. I don't get the goody bag and I don't get invited to any after parties this year. I am just sitting around doing absolutely nothing. This is the first day in a while I just get to sit around an do nothing. If you remember I had to work last Sunday and Monday. I did however setup the green screen again. I didn't shoot any video yet but I did set it up to get some of the wrinkles out of the muslin. I did do some online shopping for some parts to build a pair of sunglasses. I figured it would make some good tools to have for when the weather warms up and I can shoot some fun comedy videos outside. I will post more info about them when they are built.

tommEE coma
Spring, where the f*ck are you? Winter, you have sucked the energy out of me. I do not feel like doing anything when I get home. I end up having to everything I need to do, errands and fun stuff, before I end up starting to relax. I guess I am going to use that as the excuse for not writing. Wednesday, I got a haircut, That's right, moppy Hair Club, I quit. I got me a new cut. I didn't know where to go for the longest time. The last trim I got in LA was Supercuts and it was Stupidcuts. I looked up a couple barbers in the West Holywood area and Melrose district. I ended up trying to decide between Floyd's 99 and Rudy's on Melrose since they were closest. My final decision had me going to Floyd's. When I got there I ended up waiting for about 30 minutes. I didn't mind because I got to write a good amount of a sketch I have been meaning to commit to words on paper. Next time I think I will call ahead. I got my hair cut by Sharlene and she did a great job I think. I didn't get comments that I didn't fish for from my friends but I like my hair. It only ended up costing me $21 and it was convenient. Wednesday night I ended up meeting Pinguino at Arsenal in Santa Monica. She myspace'ed me earlier in the day saying she was going to be in the area and I was excited to go out. I cabbed it up to the bar since I planned on having more than a couple of drinks and she got up to the bar ten minutes later with a friend. We went inside where we met another friend of hers and the four of us got some food and bar food. The bar was very cool but kind of empty. It was a Wednesday night so I don't know if that was a factor. The two DJs were goofy and seemed that their metro-sexuality will soon turn into something else. Pinguino asked if I wanted to join her on a trip to Japan, I thought about it, its a week in Osaka. It costs something like $2400 and I could afford it but it seems a little expensive and I wonder if I could find a interesting trip by myself. Yesterday I was in zombie mood. The morning was interesting, I bumped into Judah Friedlander in the elevator. I whipped out my cell phone and attempted pictures with him. He was nice and asked me to email him the photo. We talked for a couple minutes but I was late to a meeting and he was just getting off the Adam Corolla show. I did end up going to Subway instead of eating brains. I didn't have much energy, the weather was sucky and I have been working since last week. I wanted to go see Human Giant at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. I had reservations to the sold out show but when I got in touch with Jimmy we told me he couldn't go. I decided to give up the reservations and just head home to watch LOST. I received a call from Vicki. She and I talked for 30 minutes not stop. We have a lot in common, we both share the same birthday but we are years apart. She said she was getting ready for a spot on the Joey Reynolds show. Vicki part of huge comedy event called Women On The Edge on March 1st, 9pm. For ticket info visit Telecharge. I hope to hang out with Vicki or see her perform with friends soon but I will have to wait till I get some free time at work. Even the last time I was in New York I wanted to see Vicki perform but I was deathly sick on her couch. LOST, in my opinion, sucked. The story was slow, it dealt a lot with Kate. One thing that bugged me, last week they aired commercials that they would reveal another of Oceanic 6. We saw Kate in the last episode of last season, of coarse she is one of the Oceanic Six. The end of the episode shows Kate with her son, who is named Aaron and it much older than a baby. So the show is showing us that Kate didn't go to court in the States until a couple years after they were rescued? Crap, what a waste of an episode. They teased about Sayid and Desmond not reaching the ship and all Miles wants is money because Ben is a powerful man off the island. It ws not exciting at all. Today I tried to VPN into work and my VPN on the default Linux install on my eeepc would contantly break after a couple days after restoring my configuration. I got tired of it and I decided to load up eeedora to my local drive on the laptop and after six hours of use, I am very happy, The VPN works just fine and it seems pretty stable. I haven't gotten the camera to work just yet but worst case, I can always get it to work with ndiswrapper I bet. When I got home, I went up to the Promenade and got me some dinner at Subway. I thought about going out. There was UCB Gets You Laid at 8pm but Jimmy said he didn't want to go. I also thought of visiting the local watering hole but Chris is out of town in New York and it's cold outside again. Spring, were ware you? I did get to see a new episode of Free Radio and it was funny as usual, I am glad that this beautiful comedy isn't getting ruined by television. Tomorrow I have my improv workshop and it's the last one with this group. I am debating whether or not to ask the one girl I like to go out. I hate it to f*ck with our rhythm when we do scenes. Especially since we perform together on Monday.

Sometimes you find a gem
I just woke up from a nap. I fell asleep just as 10 Items Or Less was coming on. I didn't mean to but I guess I have just been tired from working so much. While crusing through the channels, before running out to get something to eat, I found Pink Floyd's The Wall playing on HDnet Movies. Awesome to see it on TV let alone, see it in HD. There is plenty of good music, imagery as well as nudity.
I haven't caught up on my Project Runway so I don't know if I should check to see if its on or not. Other than that I am unaware or any important television. The only things that I am watching on a habitual basis is LOST, Free Radio and Best Week Ever.
Saturday is the last improv workshop I have with Billy and its also the last one I have with the girl I want to ask out. I am debating whether to ask her out then or the day we perform together, Monday. The only problem asking her out on Saturday is that it could be awkward performing. If I wait till Monday, I might not get a better chance to ask her out. I really think Monday might be the day but we shall find out.
I really have to take sometime and fly somewhere soon. I know I mentioned Vegas but I am even thinking about getting back to New York for a drink or a weekend. The only thing enters my mind is how cold it could be having a smoke outside the Boulevard Tavern between drinks. I do remember I used to fly back and forth a lot while I was dating Deanna. I kind of miss those times. She was great to deal with and I had good trust with her, I didn't seem to fear having a long distance relationship with her.
I guess I am going to try writing a couple sketches the next coming days and I will probably shoot some video. Now, to get something to eat.

Nickelodeon must be proud
In the endless work that the writers have in front of them, we have the time to catch some mediocre TV like My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad. It seems like NBC copied the old program Double Dare from the Nick Channel.
I am super duper busy. I have been working so much. Yesterday I was on the job from 8am till midnight and today I was working from noon till 7pm. Its really dragging the energy out me. I feel I need a Vegas getaway soon.
A week from today I will be performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater again. Cmon out and see some improv. Tomorrow I have no plans but work, I have no thoughts beyond that.
I did get a chance to see a move on the HBO recently. I caught The Last Mimzy and it was a little better than ok. The story could have been a little more exciting but the acting was good. Free Radio was good this past weekend and I am still hooked on LOST.

Just super busy
This week is the week that will never end. I have to work Sunday and Monday. I also have my improv group on Saturday. I must also do some prep work for the stuff I am working on Sunday. Its just very stressful. Thursday I received my new green screen and it is bigger that I thought it would be. I had to stay home to receive it since it needed my signature. Before it arrived, I was testing out my light configuration. I decided to shoot a video while I was on a conference call with the lights on and the smaller green screen lit up. I only shot like 10 seconds and then wanted to render the video to see the quality of the lighting. While rendering the video, the power went out. I was drawing too much current. Seeing that I used to be an electronic technician with an engineering background, you think I would have seen it coming. I was lighting 3000 watts of lights. By using the watts / voltage = amps, I should have known I needed to support 25 amp circuitry. Seeing that most apartments are setup with 20 amp circuits, this was just not going to work. I am now going to look into florescent lighting since it requires less power. Thursday night was the third episode of LOST. Halfway through the episode I started thinking, maybe LOST is too smart of a program to watch. I feel they are always trying to fool with my head. Seeing that there are only five episodes left until the next break, I wonder what surprises they have in store. I think the greatest revelation to date was this episode where Sayid is confirmed to be working for Ben as a hitman. So to date we supposably know four of the Oceanic 6, Sayid, Kate, Jack and Hurley. We just don't know the significance of the Oceanic 6. Friday I was supposed to go the the DMV but that didn't work out and I have schedule a new appointment. Around lunch time, a bunch of coworkers and I left to eat lunch at Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles. It was way too heavy for a work lunch but delicious. I was stuck at work until 8pm and when I got home I watched a little TV. There was a new episode of Free Radio and it is still entertaining. I copied a bunch of documentaries and started watching them. I just finished Word Wars and it was worth a look. I have to be in work early tomorrow, so I don't think I will end up doing anything tonight. Maybe I will order in a nice dinner.

Guess who's back in town, You spread the word around, The Writers are back in town
Welcome back writers from the picket lines and get those shows rolling. I hope no one is feeling rusty after the 100 day break. I am dying for some new Office and worrying that LOST will have nothing after the next six weeks. More than 90% of the 3,775 writers who cast ballots in Los Angeles and New York voted to immediately end the strike. You have to wonder what about that 10%, what are they thinking? I didn't go on strike, I am not part of the guild. So I have no excuse for not blogging yesterday. I had plans to and thoughts in my head but I had not time during the day and procrastination at night. Over the weekend I was talked with my improv pals and told them that I found a new screenwriting software that actually works on linux. It is called Celtx and it is free. I didn't know at the time, whether it worked on Windows or Mac also but I did find out, it does for both. A bunch of screenwriters know about it already but I was thrilled that someone built this program. I performed Monday with my improv group and I was a little nervous because I saw that Chris N. and Pinguino showed up at the theater. I was happy to see support of my friends but it is always a little nerve-racking not wanting to disappoint them. I performed in the second half of the show and it was ok, there was a couple problems that caught up to us but overall, there were laughs. After the show I saw Hey, Uncle Gary perform and then a couple of us ended up at Birds. I didn't see Chris and Pinguno after the show but Chris and I planned on catching up at the Kings Head. I ended up being exhausted and went to sleep. Yesterday I ordered another green screen for my video stuff. I am excited to get it into my possession. It is larger that my current setup, this screen is 15' x 10' with stands and supports. I bought some more cheap lighting also at the store but when I got it home I saw that one of the switches was broken during shipping or something. I am going to try to take care of this after work. Its just a shame since I found these lights close to work and I found them cheaper right around the corner from my house. I shot some video the other day for a favor and I noticed I could light it better. Today is Armadilliz's birthday. I sent her an email last night with a slacker.com station that I put in her favorite artists. She emailed me back, telling me thank you and wishing me well. I then commented on her MySpace to say Happy Birthday. From what I understand the weather is not great today in New York and there is a chance for snow tomorrow. Why do I ever think about returning? Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I am single. Last year my Valentine was Armadilliz and we really didn't celebrate much since her Birthday is a day before. I think I will post a bulletin for a female drinking partner for tomorrow night. I planned on going to Vegas because it is a three day weekend but I just found out I have to work on Saturday night. Blowing the chance to go to Vegas. I don't think the work will be complete Saturday night but I will just take a couple days off the next week I hope. Tonight I don't know what TV exists but I think I am going to go catch a show or hang out with Jimmy. If all else fails I can play with lighting or grab a drink with Chris N.

The big shark in the sky just ate Roy
This morning the nice folks at Good Day LA on Fox let me know that Roy Schieder had passed away. I guess we won't be needing that bigger boat. One of the things I forgot to touch apon this weekend was the new show that premeiered on VH1. This Firuday was the first two episodes of Free Radio. The show is very funny for a sitcom-like format on VH1. I don't want to try to describe it because I am nto sure I can do the show justice. I would just recommend that you should watch it. Yesterday I cleaned a bunch. I threw out like three bags of garbage and cleaned my closet. I still have some crap laying around but not too difficult to pick it all up tomorrow. My bedroom got better also, it feels really different when there isn't crap everywhere. Maybe I will get lucky? Today work is bleh but in just a couple hours I will be performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. I hope me and my pals have a good time tonight. Afterwards, we might hit Birds for a drink or two after the show. If I suck, I apologize up front. This weekend I will be out in Vegas for the President's Birthdays. Nothing like throwing down green papers with presidental likenesses down for clay/plastic discs that can make nomey for purchasing prostitues at the end of the night. That says President's day to me. Sadly, I won't see Bink and Jamiegrrrl until Sunday 10pm or later. They will be visiting Reno, I don't know why for sure but I think it's because Jamiegrrrl was going to be alone for Valentines Day and Bink has to work. It's good that they can be together. I think I will have to snuggle with Evil Matt, just kidding Matt.

Don't worry Amy, I have missed flights before too
Apparently, Amy Winehouse has been granted a visa to get in the country but not in enough time to make the Grammys. My friend Jimmy is going to the Grammys tonight. I asked him if he had an extra ticket and he said no. He then said "Do you even have a suit?". Wow, how come my friends do not think I have formal wear. Maybe it's time to wear nicer clothes from my closet. Friday night was fun. Jimmy, his girlfriend and I went to The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater to watch Match Game. The show started late because it was sold out. The panel was made of Scott Aukerman, Jon Hamm, Rob Corddry, Danielle Koenig, Paul F. Tompkins and Doug Benson. The contestants were ok. The guy was a little slow on the uptake and the girl was a little cute with a sweet personality but was super slow when it came to the answer that would have made her win the game. The guy ended up winning and got to take home $100. Saturday I woke up with little sleep and headed out to the theater for my improv workshop. It was a good time and I think I had some funny scenes. We perform toghther tomorrow night and I hope it ends up being entertaining as well as fun for us. After we left the workshop we headed to Canter's for some dinner. It was a little wierd since it is a jewish deli and I was wearing a t-shirt that says PICKLES on the front of it. One of the waiters came buy and said to me "You are wearing the right shirt for the restaurant". Ug, next time, different shirt. Today I have a couple things I would like to accomplish. I would like a haircut but I am a little scared of getting one. I also would like to get some new sneakers. It is still early an I have pleanty of time to get things done. Remember tomorrow. 7:00pm Upright Citizens Brigade Theater 5919 Franklin Ave Los Angeles, CA 90004 $5 (free if you are a UCBT-LA student)

And the Lord created Friday and everyone said horray!
Happy weekend boys and girls, we made it. I hope everyone has good plans. I am just in a chippper mood because I am finally out of the work swing and now on the weekend see-saw.
Last night was awesome because LOSt had some good action. They introduced four new characters to the show. They are supposed to be evil, or at least that is what LOST writers want us to think right now. The plot was good and added some good mystery to the show, not like yanking us around with numbers or black smoke.
Today I woke up to new that Mitt Romney, the handsome president wannabe, has dropped out to give us plain ol' John Mcain. I also saw that the propositions that were appoved just two days ago those props were acted pretty quickly by those indians. They ordered 17,000 slots I believe. Screw that! Vegas!
Tonight I am seeing Match Game with Jimmy and his girlfriend.

Darn you Pochanga, I want to go to Vegas
Apparently, the Indians won the vote two nights ago for their props 94-97 which will allow them to upgrade the gaming for their properties. Its all because they are trying keep the Pickles from visiting Vegas. Well nothing short of a snow storm or something better to do will keep me from the city of lights. I think I am going to head in next weekend and have some fun. It will probably be fun even though I don't have a Valentine.
Last night I didn't catch my Project Runway. I got dragged into the Law and Order twosome. In both of them, they left me hanging. One was about a woman killer who gets away and then the other had the Detective suspended and walking away. Project Runway would or does have a resolved ending I am sure.
Tonight is my fix. LOST is on again. Very exciting but I know it will just torment me and I will be left wanting more.
Tomorrow I plan on catching Match Game with Jimmy. Maybe I will be picked.

Wow, I fall off of the blog wagon easy sometimes. I have been a little busy but not too busy to blog, so there is no excuse. Monday night after work I headed to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater to see some improv groups perform on Harold Night. I stayed for Hey, Uncle Gary! and Cabbages & Kings. It was a fun night but there was no Billy Merritt. I don't know why. I know he is going to be in Las Vegas shooting something for Discovery or something but I don't know why he didn't perform on Harold Night. Yesterday I was exhausted, I guess it was a Super Tuesday. I didn't get to vote in a booth. I still have a New York drivers license so I am not allowed to vote here but I am still interested in the procedure. It might be different if the writers weren't on strike. I did get to go out to dinner with Sqweak and Mags. We ended up at Houston's. I did the normal appetizer and steak but I guess from my large lunch, I didn't finish my meal and had to take it home in a doggie bag. Yesterday I caught a story that reminds me of someone I and my friends know ( http://gothamist.com/2008/02/04/grifter_found.php) I know the person reads my blog too, I hope they aren't being careless. I thought about Rebecca, I haven't heard from her since I kind of shut her out of my life. I didn't enjoy her last email to me saying how happy she was that she was pregnant and living with someone. Well I feel a little bad about it now and I thought of her as I purchased some Dark M&Ms from the vending machine. She used to work for M&M Mars. Tonight we finally get a new Project Runway. I don't know why it was dark last week. Since there has been a lack of TV, I have been watching a lot of Netflix online. I would recommend Confessions of a Superhero. It is pretty crazy. I also watched This Film is Not Yet Rated and it was ok. Tomorrow is LOST and it will give me something to comment and probably complain about. Friday: Match Game, Yay!

Richard Cheese needs help, where are you Jerry Lewis?
Start of a new week and I just wasted the first day. I copied a bunch of DVD's and burned a bunch more. I installed a new DVD writer in my video editing station. I installed eeedora on a thumb drive for my eeePC and that was fun. The rest of the day has been slack-tastic. I watched "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" and it was very good. I ordered groceries on the web and had them delivered and then I have been playing Online Poker. I am currently watching "This Is Spinal Tap". I saw that Richard Cheese is selling sponsorship spots. HEAR YOUR NAME SUNG BY RICHARD CHEESE! For just $500, Richard will sing your name as part of a special original song he is including on the album. This song will be titled something like "Thanks For Spreading The Cheese," and will include Richard singing a list of names of his fans! ONLY 16 SLOTS AVAILABLE!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HEAR YOUR COMPANY NAME SUNG BY RICHARD CHEESE! Or, for just $3500, Richard will mention your company's name as the sponsor of an instrumental section of one of his cover songs! Right in the middle of the song, just before the band starts playing a solo break, Richard will say something like, "And now, a piano solo, brought to you by the fine folks at Henderson Electric Supply in Tucson, Arizona!" This promotional mention will be a permanent part of this song on Dick's new CD! How fucking rad will that be!?
ONLY 1 SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HAVE RICHARD CHEESE'S NEXT ALBUM NAMED AFTER YOU! Yes, for just $30,000, Richard Cheese will NAME HIS NEXT ALBUM AFTER YOU. That's right, his new album will be called "TIM BRADY." Or whatever your name is! That is pretty much as cool as it gets.
ONLY 1 SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE!
NAME GUIDELINES:
► 1) THE NAME YOU PROVIDE MUST BE A LEGITIMATE, LEGAL, AND REAL PERSON'S NAME. NO DEROGATORY NICKNAMES, PROFANITY, SUGGESTIVE OR OFFENSIVE NAMES WILL BE ALLOWED.
► 2) NO MESSAGES, TRADEMARKED NAMES, BRAND NAMES, PRODUCT NAMES, SLOGANS, OR ALIASES WILL BE ALLOWED.
► 3) NO TITLES, AFFILIATIONS, OR LONG OR EXTENDED NAMES WILL BE ALLOWED.
► 4) IMPORTANT: YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A FORM STATING THAT YOU AGREE TO ALL TERMS ON THIS PAGE.
► 5) HURRY! OFFER ENDS FEBRUARY 28, 2008
Are you kidding me? $500 just to have your name in a list? $500 and you don't get to use an alias? Listen, Richard, I love your music and act. I wanted to book you for my party and you want $5000 for an hour performance. I book Phil Shane for less than half that to perform for me for three hours and he puts on a huge show. If you need more money for albums, do my party and sell your albums. If you were able to match the same prices as Phil, I would book another band. I watched the Superbowl and it was a pretty good game even though I don't watch sports much. The game didn't cover the spread but it was exciting. I didn't really pay enough attention to the commercials but it was probably because I didn't watch after Tom Petty took the stage. I forgot to say last night I watched Epic Movie. Oh my god, I didn't believe the one half star rating when I planned on watching it but damn, how did they get so much money to film that project. The humor was very simple and went for the easiest joke possible with every turn. Jayma Mays is great as well as beautiful and plays her character well but unfortunately the movie wasn't a good movie at all. I spoke to Jimmy tonight and I told him about another idea for a sketch that was going to take place in the zoo. He didn't sound interested at all, he is afterall, vegan. Well, I explained the idea, we had a chuckle and now I think we are on the smae page. I also asked him if he would like to go see Match Game on Friday and he said sure, he said that it would be cool. Tomorrow I plan on going to Harold Night, haircut or not. I also put a bunch of comedy things on my calendar. TV is starting to suck. The next two Tim and Eric shows are repeats. Tuesday is 10 Items Or Less. Wednesday, I haven't looked, but is there a Project Runway? Thursday, my blood goes nuts for the taste of LOST. Then I don't care because it's Friday and Match Game time Saturday is one last Practice before performance.

Did I forget how to have fun?
I don't think so, I think I have just been wiped out by a stressful week and not catching a breath since I have been going to Vegas or parties the last several months. Its nice to slow down. Last night I ended up going to Fry's and I guess the geek inside me had exploded. I ended up walking around the store for a good three hours. I spent $160 on two Linux magazines, USB memory, a DVD writer, hard drive enclosure and the DVD documentary titled Sick. Since I was already out and it was the first Friday of the month I headed to the 2600 meeting at Philipe's. There I ran into Marc and MMCA. We caught up on a bunch of stuff that has happened in my life in the last several months and caught a bite at the Denny's. I showed some people my eeePC and we discussed a forensic test of the eeePC that might be interesting as well ass educational. I got home late, so I ended up going to bed as soon as I could. This morning I got up about 10:00 AM. I remembered I had Drakmar: The Voyage of a Vassal on my Tivo. I watched it while I was taking care of some computer stuff. It was a good documentary and kept me entertained. I plan on burning it into a DVD and sharing it with some improv pals. I watched Sick after that which is about the life of Bob Flannagan a S&M performance artist with Cystic Fibrosis. It is a graphic and disturbing DVD but also a good story. I headed to improv about 2:00 and it took me 45 minutes to get there because stupid construction on La Cienega. As if they couldn't do it at night or something. Its a tourist center with the Beverly Center there and construction just makes it worse. Improv was ok and I did like some of the stuff I did today. I was more on top of my game than the past couple of weeks. Me and my group will be performing a week from Monday. Oh, yes, I still think that one person is cute and I am wondering what to do. When I left improv, I texted Jimmy. Jimmy replied saying he had a headache. I considered texting Chris N. and seeing if he wanted to get a drink but I got home and ended up taking a nap. No I don't feel like going out. I am considering picking up some Del Taco and watching some movies. I got three more titles from Netflix. I have This Film Is Not Yet Rated, This is Spinal Tap, and Fast Times At Ridgemont High. I also haven't watched this weeks Las Vegas and I have recorded Epic Movie. I still have some DVDs to burn and copy. I want to do some After Effects for some videos and I have some articles to read in the magazines I bought. Tomorrow, it sounds lame but I want to get my haircut and I want to get some new sneakers. Monday I have like three hours of meetings and then a bunch of work to do. If I have some energy, maybe I will hit up Harold Night at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. I haven't talked to Jamiegrrrl since Monday and its a little weird since we were texting each other daily for a while. I think I will send her a text and say that I am sorry that I don't get into Vegas much because of the improv. Oh I did see that MC Chris is performing at the Avalon in Los Angeles on February 21st and congratulations to Jawnee Conroy for his commercial for Denny's. I only saw the one without him on TV during LOST but he did post the one with him on YouTube. You can find it if you search for Denny's Line Up Commercial or visit http://youtube.com/user/dontfallforfake

Bored because Eli (instead Born To Be Alive)
Last night was the shot to my brain like a shot of that tar for the junkie. I got me some LOST. I forgot how frustrating it was to watch it some times but it still made me feel good. They teased in the commercials too much about the rescue though. They only showed the new characters in the last five minutes of the show. The episode was pretty much about how much Hurley missed his buddy Charlie. It seemed the foreshadowing was before Jack starting wigging out in the future but there was no mention why they call the Oceanic 6 that name. Maybe because out of all the people rescued only six were offered a golden pass. I have a feeling with all the foreshadowing, they will end LOST this season.
After LOST, I decided to watch the pilot of Eli Stone. Not really what I would call a good show. It has Johnny Lee Miller as the starring role. He is a high power attorney and also has visions of old George Michael music (I guess George Michael was the only one available for the money). The show is to sitcom-like for a drama-comedy and having a Jakee' like secretary was too much. I think this show blew what little load it had in the first episode. I don't think it will last a season. Come back writers.
Today I left the house earlier that usual. I had to drive downtown to go to one of the datacenters we are in chare of. I am setting up a new encoder farm for a huge batch of media. Its not fun being in this large datacenter because it makes you feel tired from the ambient noise and recirculated air. I think I will get a lot accomplished but I am not looking forward to drive home from here, traffic will surely suck.
I didn't make plans for tonight but I realized I have lots of laundry to do. I should probably make a couple DVD for some people in my improv group. We end up performing a week from Monday. I believe Phil Shane is going to come to my show so I hope we are able to do a good job.
I know I always say this but I think I will try to work on videos this weekend. I need to throw something up but I need to clean the damn apartment too. We will see if I can stick to some cleaning and junk.
