Fun fun, now NYC again
Wow, it sure is fun out here. I know, the grass is always greener on the other side, but its really fun here.
The weather has been fantastic. I brought a sweatshirt because I didn't have a jacket. I didn't have to use it afterall. It has been in the 70's all week.
I put in my application for the apartment I have been looking at. Its right on the ocean and it is baked with sunlight. I had to put in a $500 deposit to hold the apartment and a $50 application fee.
I did fill out the paperwork outside by the ocean which was nice. I have a different attitude about the beach since I moved from California for different reasons. I am happy for the time I spent in NYC but a break is probably awesome.
I spent a bunch of time on the 3rd Street Promenade. It did remind me of some moments of Cindy because of Lucky Brand, Fatburger, and Barnes and Noble.
I did find out the Santa Monica Mall is shutting down. They want to create an open air ml to link to the Promenade. There a lot of stores missing in the mall but its not a ghost mall yet.
I saw Sqweak for a bit while I was in the area. He wasn't feeling well so we ended up just chatting for awhile.
I almost completed my California Fast food tour, I missed Wienerschnitzel. I hit In n Out on Sunday, Del Taco on Tuesday, Jack in the Box on Wednesday later I hit El Pollo Loco. I hit Fatburger yesterday.
I went to see Resident Evil Extinction yesterday. On the way in I saw posters for Saw IV. I was excited. I then saw the trailer for Saw IV and I got a little chill, I can't wait.
I did miss Fry's, I didn't feel like driving that far. I might try later today. I fly out this evening and I will be back in the City tomorrow morning. Wish me good luck!

Sorry kids, but I have been busy
What has been happening? Well I have been working a bunch but I did get to see some friends. Jet lag is affecting me too.
Monday night I saw Philip M., a friend I worked with at Google. We caught on some things and it sounded he was doing well. He told me some info about my ex-boss that made me smile.
Tuesday after work, I met up with Sqweak and his wife Mags. We went for a bite at our regular place that we used to go, Houston's. I had my favorite Artichoke and Spinach dip and a Hawaiian Rib Eye. It was good.
Last night I was supposed to hook up with my friend Jimmy. He was unreachable. I went to get me my favorite fast food. Del Taco. I got it and brought it back to the exclusive hotel I am staying at. I fell asleep watching Bionic Woman and when I awoke, it was 15 minutes till Cage Match at UCBT LA. I raced out there because I wanted to see the show and I didn't know if I would run into Billy Merritt or Charlie Todd.
I got to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Los Angeles 15 minutes late, got in free with my UCBT id and it was standing room only. I don't know who the teams competing were but the winner is 18 weeks undefeated.
The theater is smaller and does have a different feel that UCB in NY. I didn't see any near and I don't think you could BYOB here either. It was a really well behaved audience, weird. It might be how LA is.
I didn't make any plans tonight. I know the Office premieres tonight and I am very interested in that. There is some neat stuff at UCB tonight. I am seeing Phil Shane tomorrow and I believe Jimmy and Aron will be there. It will be like old times but with no drinking since we are all driving.
Lastly, mark you calendars. October 6th is my going away party / comedy roast of tommEE pickles. Probably happening at 9pm that day. Interested in performing? Contact me.

72° and Sunny
I landed last night and I continued to be an exciting adventure after the $2.00 potato chips. I was put up in a nice Beverly Hills Hotel (no I didn't have a Lotus so I didn't pick up a hooker). Registration and lobby were nice, in the vallee were Ferraris and Lamborghinis. I got into the room and it was equipped with a huge comfortable bed, nice décor and a 42" plasma with HDTV. Its hard to describe how kick ass this room is. The only problem is everything else is expensive. Parking is $25 a day and room service is like $30 for an item. I have money but it seems like I wouldn't enjoy myself here worrying about expenses. The best part about the evening was heading out to get In-n-Out burgers.
This morning I woke up with no troubles and headed out in my Enterprise rental. I stopped off at a local McDonalds to get a Sausage Burrito meal. I would have opted for the Steak, Egg and Cheese Bagel but they didn't have them. I guess one more thing to miss about NYC.
I got to my new job and met some cool people. I will have more updates about work later.
I am going to try to view an apartment today but I might have to wait till tomorrow. We'll see how the day goes.
I never new I would ride soul plane
I boarded Virgin America flight to LAX about 4:10pm and I have to tell you, its an experience. The first thing you notice is the purple and fuchia (sp?) colored cabin, both first and coach. The seats are leather and seem to have more legroom and pitch. Each seat back has an intelligent gaming/tv center. There are games, mp3s, TV and some movie for free.it also contains an snack/drink menu programs and premium movies at $8. I ordered Hot Fuzz. There are a bunch other features that are inoperable such as web browsing, text messaging and email. Things that might work but that are silly like chat seat to seat and game invite.
The downsides are pretty big like the things you pay for. A 23 minute show of the Office costs $1.99, thats pretty sucky. The service is quite stinky, it took two hours for drink service and they combined it with the snacks, it was so slow. Not to mention, we sat over an hour on the tarmac.
Some interesting information. Red is the entertainment system on Virgin America. It runs linux, more specifically RedHat. It runs a customized version of xwindows. Crashes a lot, I mean tons. I saw somone next to me calling over the flight attendant a couple of times. Mine crashed three times. I also saw errors in boot. It only runs 256Mb.

Some people call me a space cowboy
I am sitting in the airport at gate B20 in Terminal 4 waiting for my LA flight on Virgin American. I rescheduled my flight when I got home and then found out that Midway Car Rental isn't open when I land. I had to with someone else instead. At least I am getting into LA tonight and I am not going to miss a night at the hotel. I didn't have 24 hours to cancel the registration if I was to take a flight tomorrow. I did extend my stay so I unfortunately will not be able to make Storyhole. I really wanted to go but apartment hunting is pretty important also.
I saw Charlie at the theater Thursday night. He said he was also going to be in LA this week. That will be cool, sharing stories in a different geographic location. I will probably hit up Cage Match in LA.
I hate flying and I know this is a smaller plane, I hate that. I should be landing in Los Angeles at 8:10pm. From there I think I will go directly to the hotel unless I get dinner with Sqweak first. I am going to see if I can see the first apartment at 5pm tomorrow. That is if work is going smoothly.
Boarding now, wish me luck. I love you all.
Airtrain every 5 minutes my ass

I was waiting for the Airtrain in long term parking and my flight was supposed to leave in less than an hour. Then I jumped on an outbound train to ride the loop. When we got to Long Term parking lot C, they said that the airtrain was out of service. I was going nuts. I had to ride a bus to Federal Circle and then airtrain it to my terminal. When I got there, the gate was closed. The airlin Virgin America wouldn't do anything for me and I was shit out of luck. There is a 4:30pm flight but I am going home first to see if I can find the best price without spending any more time at the airport.
Oh yeah, and tmobile is having an issue also where the internet isn't working on the GPRS.

Dude looks like a lady
So I woke up pretty early and checked my email. My new employer stated that I would have to pay my way out west next week. I was a little cranky about this but I booked my flight, hotel and rental car. I am all set for California for my work vacation.
I started packing my suitcase and found I was a little short in the business casual department. After dropping off my laundry, I went to the Gap and bought a couple tennis shirts. I then went to Best Buy and bought a 1GB SD card for my camera since I am using my main memory card for my PDA for GPS on my trip. Last stops were Staples and Old Navy, I bought some photo paper that doesn't work for me and some more shirts. I was starting to feel like I was on a shopping spree like a girl.
Later, I watched the repeat of the season finale of Las Vegas and then I watched Law and Order SVU. I never been a fan of Law and Order, Sage was a huge fan when I dated her. I think as I get older the stories are starting to grow on me. Or it could be that TV is sucky before the Fall Season.
I headed to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater to meet up with Christina to talk about some ideas for a sketch. I saw Neil there and we shot the shit. I chatted with Curtis and John and updated them on my move stuff. After a beer I ended up going home, Christina's show and meeting ran late but we will pick up stuff in email.
Tomorrow I am going to clean up the apartment more and make meeting arrangements for Sunday. I fly out in the morning on Sunday so I won't be doing any drinking tomorrow. I have to drive my car out to the airport and find parking and catch an early flight.
I should be in Los Angeles Sunday and I will be leaving Saturday morning. Phil Shane is playing Friday, might be a must see.

Back from the country
I am drained. I went to visit Mom yesterday and I spent the night. I saw my car after almost a year and the battery was completely dead. I had a emergency jump battery in my car and it did the trick. It was weird being in this vehicle that I will be driving cross the country once more.
While at mom's, it isn't a hotbed of entertainment but luckily she has the DirecTV. I got to see the premiere of Kitchen Nightmares. Awesome! I will be TiVo-ing it for weeks to come. The characters they have in some of these restaurants are so unreal. I don't know if this show will make you want to eat out also.
After Kitchen Nightmares I caught some of Last Comic Standing. Congrats to John Reep! I voted for him after Amy Schummer was voted off. The show last night was two hours and wasn't worth two hours of watching time. Three guest comics, pre-taped roasts, it was not worth the magnetic tape it was captured on.
Today I drove my car into the city with expired Nevada plates. I went to the local garage to get it inspected but ran into an issue. I had to jump my car again this morning. When you lose battery power to a car, it resets the OBD sensors. When they started checking my car, they said that the sensors weren't ready. They told me I had to drive the car 50 miles. I just drove 42 miles from my mom's house. He said drive more. I drove up and down the West Side Highway and that seemed to do it. I passed inspection. They did identify that the car sat around for a while. He pointed out the brake rotors were messed up and needed replacements. Ugh.
When I left the auto shop I sat in my car and drove around the block numerous times. I was trying to find a spot to park in. I needed shower and was tired. I was sitting parked illegally and then I noticed a spot close to my house. I zoomed backwards very fast to get to the spot and my parallel parking skills still were at my reserve. When I got out I realized I was in a spot that I won't have to move it until Monday. Score! I did have a cgodess/annienonymous flashback today on 8th Avenue near 20th St. It was close to her body type riding a Ducati with the same type of glasses. Just funny.
I woke up from my nap to find the CW network playing the premiere of Beauty and the Geek. Another thing that makes today rock. It isn't as funny as it could be but its watchable TV.
I am heading to Los Angeles for a week on Monday. I think I am being put up in a really nice hotel. I have to work for a week out there and then I think I will have a day for apartment hunting. Wow! Excitement!
Tonight I will at Cage Match at UCB, tomorrow, maybe kind of quiet.

Was it good for you? Or was is laughable?
Last night I performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Our team Escape Valve performed first. We had a good Harold, there was room for improvement but friends of mine said it was good.
My sister and her husband attended as well as Max and Alaina. My sister and her husband went to McManus for a couple drinks and we caught up. They had to leave before 10pm because their kids and the babysitter but they might catch up with me in Vegas.
After they left I saw Mike Short come in but he didn't say hi or anything. He looked like he was looking Harold people but it was too early for all of that. Later, Brian came in and I hung out with Justin, Brian and Sean. I also got to hang out with my friends Phil and Sara.
I got up this morning with a fuzzy painful head. I cannot find my remote for my entertainment center, I looked a lot. I am heading to Mom's house to pick up my car and get it inspected. I am under crunch time to move. I have to close out the apartment, I am needed out in LA real soon. I still have movers to come over and an apartment to fin in LA. Ugh, tons of crap to do.
I think I am going to try to have a relaxing day at Mom's. I haven't seen her in almost a year. I also brought my video camera so I can try to put a video clip from yesterday online.
Feeling like Robert Downey Jr.

Hungover, heading to Moms to pick up my car.

Ugh Batteries!
Nothing to stop a good day like batteries. Just think of all the devices that we depend on, that use batteries. Phones, laptops, cameras, dialysis machines...
I got an offer for the new job and it's pretty darn good. It looks as if I am moving. I have to call tomorrow and arrange a date I am supposed to geographically misplaced. I have to get the car checked up, my license looked into and a new apartment.
I got brunch with Max, Durden, Alaina and her daughters Sunday afternoon. We went to a place that offered unlimited mimosas. It probably wasn't the best idea because I had my improv workshop in a couple hours. The brunch was good and the mimosas kept on being poured from a pitcher. I went home after and decided to take a nap, bad idea. I woke up sleepy. Improv was fun and we went for a drink after.
I went to do movie stuff with Jawnee today. We looked over the footage that was shot Saturday and talked about some ideas. We planned on shooting but I wasn't properly prepared. We will try again either tomorrow or Thursday.
I keep of seeing advertisements on TBS for the Las Vegas Comedy festival. They are calling it "The Comedy Festival" but I see there is also "Las Vegas Comedy Festival" on some webpages.
"The Comedy Festival" is at Caesars Palace and "Las Vegas Comedy Festival" is at the Gold Coast. I am really confused because they are on different dates and when Bink and I went to see the Upright Citizens Brigade at The Comedy Festival, it was at the Flamingo. I don't remember everything being at one hotel. Is it really a festival if it's just at one hotel for four days? The comedians listed are
The Sopranos' Steve Schirripa hosts Vegas Va-Voom's Variety Spectacular, Artie Lange, Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation, Chris Rock, Eddie Izzard, Ellen's Really Big Show, Frank Caliendo: All Over The Place, Jerry Seinfeld, Kims of Comedy, Left, Right and Blue starring John Oliver, Bill Burr & Marc Maron, Nick Cannon's Wild N' Out Live!, Nick Swardson and Jamie Kennedy, The Lucky 21, The Return of Beardo and Weirdo with Friends Afro & Mike-O, Wanda Sykes. Fifteen acts? From what I have experienced, it not so much as a festival but then again, is a marathon bigger than a festival?
My Tivo recently automatically recorded the movie Moving. It's a 1988 Richard Pryor movie. It's pretty funny because it's about Richard's character moving to a new location because of a job. Does my Tivo listen to my conversations? I shouldn't have modified it so much. If you don't see me tomorrow, it's because my Tivo has murdered me.
I saw this today and it made me chuckle
http://www.sandraohisugly.com/quiz.php.
I perform at the
Uprights Citizens Brigade Theater tomorrow at 6:30pm. After I will probably get a drink with friends.

Holy crap... brrrrrr
I just woke up because it got so chilly in my apartment. The temperature has dropped down to 51 degrees during the evening. I actually had to close my windows and turn off the fans. The new said it is going to be chilly all week with the hight being 80-something on Thursday.
Its funny, I mentioned that Fox Movie Channel played Miracle On 34th Street a couple days ago. Just before I was awoken by the chill TNT was playing Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. Its not even October. Is Christmas hype coming earlier every year? What is the necessity of hyping holidays earlier every year? They are still on the same days since the beginning of time huh? By the way, tommEE pickles Birthdaycon is only 115 days away, more info at http://birthdaycon.com.
I have beenhaving weird dreams, very real ones too. The kind of dreams that feel like they are true and really happened. Not the type where aliens come and kidnap me but ones involving me and crushes that I have. It makes me want to maybe pursue the interest but again, it is just my subconscious telling me something.
I received a couple voicemail messages today regarding moving bids. One of the companies is actually called Google Moving and Storage (http://googlemoving.us). From what I can tell, it is not affiliated with the search engine.
Lastly, a couple of items I have been trying out on my Pocket PC phone. The newest version of Google Maps for mobile phones is pretty cool. The only change I wish they would add is a way to configure where the cache is stored. I even tried moving the directories around with no effect. It fills up storage pretty fast. This made me install a little program called Clear Temp. It is configurable for custom directories too. One last program, since I am traveling back and forth between cities, I got Weather Watcher, a really in depth weather program. It is really good.

He switched the samples so that RDU-90 could be approved and Devlin McGregor could give you... Provasic!
I am watching The Fugitive right now...
It's the weekend. Friday night came and went. I didn't end up doing anything. Jawnee called me early in the evening to say we were shooting the movie in the morning today. Since I had to be up at 9am I chose not to go out because I didn't want to feel like crud on the set. Instead I watched Top Chef for the first time and "Wow" it is very different than Hell's Kitchen but still keeping the level of entertainment up.
I woke up this morning on time and got some of my camera crap together, just in case. I headed over to Jawnee's and when I got there, a bunch of people were already there. We started shooting within minutes of me arriving. Later Jim Santangeli and Eddie Dunn arrived for their required scenes. It was entertaining, in one scene, Jawnee had Jim on the toilet with his pants down singing a tune.
After they left, we filmed some outdoor scenes where Jawnee completed a dangerous climb over a driveway fence. It was pretty incredible but as we were shooting scenes, the neighbors were getting restless and yelling at us. Then we started filming indoor scenes and the main light set the clothes pin holding the gel on fire. That smelled up the hallways and such. The other strange highlight was Jawnee cutting a hole in the crotch of his speedos with a butcher's knife. It was disturbing and could have been fatal. It wasn't fun seeing Jawnee's balls hanging out of his speedos hole though.
After everything was wrapped, we all split and Blair, Eloise and I headed to Popeye's. I was talking up Popeye's all day and the excitement was peaked. I ordered a four piece and 'Popped it Up for a Buck", which gives you an extra side and drink. I had a smile across my face the whole time because of the tasty chicken. We sat and talked for a bit and then we split our separate ways.
I got home and I was exhausted. I crashed out as soon as I hit the bed. I was going to go see Hot Sauce tonight but I am a little groggy. I will see them perform on Thursday anyway, when they perform at Cage Match. Tomorrow I plan on having brunch with Max and Alaina. Later I will start capturing the video that we shot today. I also have my last improv workshop tomorrow night. It's the last one before I perform on Tuesday. It's actually the last workshop I will be taking in NYC for a while.
Tonight I think I will wrap up the evening with the movie Warriors. I was told today about a scene that is in the movie where they had to some creative film work because of some rented cranes.

Wow, I haven't gone out since Sunday
Yep its true, I took a break from going out. I am going out tonight because I have to see my pals Danny and Vicki as well as Max and Alaina. After that I have to run up to UCB to film tonights UCBW match.
A cool thing today, I am sleepy because my sleep schedule is all fuxored up. I got deliveries today, some I forgot about because I am so screwed up from no sleep.
I did mention to a couple of people about my going away party. I think we are going to a comedy roast of tommEE pickles. Fun huh? I am going to start looking for a place tonight.
Oh another fucked up thing is that my land lord is fixing the water protection on the stairs of my building tomorrow. So now I am stuck in the building from 10am till 6:30pm. That sucks, I can't even get food delivered.
Well off to the shows.

Getting down to the wire but I don't know when

Yesterday marked the anniversary of September 11th and my rant of the same. I found it weird because when I was checking visitors to my blog, I saw there was one coming from Saudi Arabia. I don't know why. Maybe it was some one doing a blog search of something I typed or I have a loyal reader.
Things seem to be moving along for my move but at a slower pace than one would hope. I was contacted yesterday and sent forms for a background check. The HR woman also called me to say that they will also pay for me to take a trip out to look for a new apartment. One thing that doesn't plan on being fun is getting three bids for movers. Everything is going to be paid for, even part of my current lease if needed.
I thought my friend Jen and I were supposed to get dinner tonight. We haven't had dinner together since before the New Year I think. We had a miscommunication though since I thought it was tonight and she thought next week. Oh well, I need some sleep anyway. I haven't been sleeping well since the stress from the move.
I heard something on CNN Headline News today that Facebook is making all of it's profiles searchable and public at the end of the month unless you explicitly change it yourself. It is in an effort to maybe grab new users but eventually might scare current users to leave.
Tomorrow is Cage Match and should prove to be great. It will be Krompf (Neil Casey, Ryan Karels, Amey Goerlich, Joe Wengert) going up against Derrick. It should also have some good UCBW follow up.

Pretty cool, New York sights at burning man
Limewire has some great photos

check it out in the series of photos here.

MUST HAVE AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN ACCENT/ SPEAK SOME ITALIAN.
ONE DAY GUEST STAR
Obligatory September 11th post
I didn't think I was going to rant or even discuss the September 11th anniversary but here I am. I think what made me rethink was HBO playing the movie United 93 today but not the
In Memoriam documentary that they produced and released 26 May 2002. I don't know if I can say I believe they story that has come out of Washington since the tragic event. I have seen many videos that tell different stories. One that calls the event while making a very convincing argument is
Loose Change. The other was
9/11 Conspiracies: Fact or Fiction. If you have a chance, view both. It will generate questions about the event.
I personally lost friends six years ago today. I was very outraged and was immediately for the war. When I researched it more, I was questioning everything. In the last six years we haven't created anything that might be thought of as improvement. We are constantly inconvenienced by security protocol at airports, buses and trains.
We are monitored more today that we have ever been. We have started a war that didn't turn up weapons of mass destruction and has just made gas prices jump through the roof while losing soldiers left and right.
I am a little tense every September 11th now. I don't know if I will ever feel save in New York City on the anniversary. Especially when Bin Laden can broadcast videos and our government can't find the guy. C'mon, we have an FBI that finds people very quickly, Adam Walsh on Americas Most Wanted usually finds people within a couple of weeks. How is our military failing at finding someone?
I have all my friends, colleagues and acquaintances in my thoughts today. May everyone's day go well and have a save evening.

Vince McMahon's son is a midget?
I am watching WWE Raw right now and wow, I don't know if I should watch the PPV Unforgiven.
Yesterday I had my improv workshop. It wasn't going well in the beginning but it came together at the end and we had some great fun. Afterwards I went home to get something to eat and then I headed to Boulevard Tavern. It was a very humid walk but thank god for the air conditioners in the bar. I mostly hung out with Laurie the bartender. It was quiet for most the evening but it was a fun visit.
I have been seeing advertisements for this website Technoride. It boasts that there is no need for West Coast Customs, do it yourself. It says that they are a definitive site for car mods and such. I went to visit the site and for example, under the Audio & Accessories section they have
Zune: iPod Killer or Half-Baked Flop? as the top article, REVIEW DATE: 20-NOV-2006. Are you kidding me, they haven't found any other devices to review since then?
I subscribe to many podcasts. A couple are produced by my friends or have my friends on them. My friend Patrick Norton started the show DL.TV. Rencently they have had no Patrick, I don't know since when and the show itself has taken a turn downward. It seems less news and much for beginners now.
I have the UCBW SummerSlamMania videos going up tonight. Some real good stuff.
Tomorrow I should be meeting up with Jawnee and then Harold Night at UCB. Hopefully I will hear back from the new job tomorrow too, I am starting to have anxiety.

Thanks for the slams
Friday night was my night to catch up with some friends. I went to meet the gang up at McCormack's about 8:30pm. When I got there I saw Elyn talking to Bobcat outside. I suprised Elyn by sneaking up to her. It was nice seeing her since I had not seen her in a year or so. In attendance was Bobcat, Isaac, John, Akira, Billy and Elyn. We had dinner and a couple drinks. Made plans with Elyn for Wednesday to go shopping.
Tonight I charged up the camera and got it ready for SummerSlamMania. I recorded everything from the intros to the awesome matches. My favorite match was for the Hardcore Title between Marz and Leviathan.
I went to McManus after dropping my stuff at home and starting the video capturing. I saw a bunch of acquaintances. One of my friends there was having girl issues, it sucks, I hate to see my friends having difficult times. He introduced to someone who does video editing also but even though how cute she was, I couldn't flirt since my friend was interested.
I saw McManus was going to have a stickball tournament later today at 1pm. That could be fun to see. I saw it six months ago and it make for good photos.
I finally got to see Superman Returns. It's been a while since I have seen the original, I don't know how closely it matches.
My TiVo recorded Welcome Back Kotter from the ALN (American Living) Network. It's later episodes when Horshack was married. I did search a little for John Sebastian Welcome Back mp3 but didn't find it yet.
September 11th is around the corner and Bin Laden has been on the TV. I don't know if the City is prepared to raise the threat level or not.
Deanna was being cranky to me on the phone today. She hung up on me twice and I didn't understand why. I am sure I will still see her next week but if not, *shrug*.
Later today about 6pm, I have my improv workshop I didn't have more than three drinks tonight, so I won't be hungover. It's gotten me kind of sleepy though so I will catch you people up tomorrow.

Just a quickie
I haven't commented on the Apple iPhone nonsense lately. As many people have seen the iPhone has dropped in price. The iPhone is now selling at $399.00 which is below the original prices of $499 and $599. Apple now has apologized and will offer $100 credit back if you bought one early. It went on to say Jobs said in a letter on the company's Web site that Apple would offer the credit, which can be used in Apple's online and retail stores, to those who bought the phone before the price cut.
Huh, I have to use the $100 buying Apple shit instead of buying other crap I would originally have if I didn't spend the $100 on the phone. Wow, some deal Jobs. Sounds more like bait and switch. The real pissed off people will be the ebayers.
If you are thinking of a gift for
tommEE pickles Birthdaycon, I found this
$250 beauty. It's a watch, like Dick Tracy, if Dick Tracy was cool. Oh yes, it does have to be the 2Gb model.
There is a Newsday article talking about how the Financial District in Manhattan will take away more privacy. Here is a snip:
will eventually include 3,000 private and public cameras trained on the area south of Canal Street and relaying images in real time to a new command center; more than 100 license plate readers at bridges and tunnels and throughout the financial district; street barriers that can be moved into place automatically; and an undisclosed number of radiation detectors. The plan's projected price tag, excluding radiation detectors, is $90 millionYou know whats interesting, we are days away from the six year anniversary of September 11, 2001 and there still is no building, no memorial park. What the heck, I have seen countless casinos blown up within that time and new ones built in their place. Look at the Wynn Casino. It was conceived in 2002 and opened in 2005. Built for 2.7 Billion dollars. Now I know the World Trade Center was built between 1966-1973 but that was with 60's and 70's technology. This is the 00 decade, ya know, computers and lasers. Here is a
picture of Ground Zero yesterday.
Tonight I plan on catching up with pals like Bobcat, Billy, Max and Alaina at McCormacks.

Didn't party last night, didn't get laid, didn't fight uh ha
Today I slept really late, I tried sleeping at 4am last night but ended up only sleeping for an hour. I got back up and started playing some online poker. I think I got to sleep about 9am but I sleep all the way to 5pm.
I woke up because of the phone. It was Danny and it was great catching up with him. A bunch of people are a little upset that I can be moving soon. What can I do, I need to get back to the grind.
I am filming Cage Match tonight at the Upright Citizens Brigade. It should be a good show. I don't think I am going to drink tonight. I don't think I should after Tuesday. I didn't feel good the next day. I am feeling great now and like Journey I am going to hold on to that feeling.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see Deanna today. She is having a lot of interuptions due to weddings and funerals. It was ok though, I was pretty hungover. She said that she will try for next week.
I was woken up by the phone this morning. It was about the job. They wanted to give them some references for HR. They are also going to have me fill out some forms for a background check. You can guess my emotion.
I worked on the UCBW SummerSlamMania promo video and uploaded it to
http://youtube.com/tommeepickles1 today. It was just thrown together but enjoyable none-the-less.
TNT has been playing Season 1 and Season 2 of Las Vegas episodes every day. I don't know why they made so many changes after those seasons. It was a much better show in the early episodes. I know they got picked up for Season 5 but I don't know if the program holds water after that
Las Comic Standing was on tonight and with only three comics to perform, they had maximum filler. Instead of just Bill Belamy doing some material, they also had Josh Blue and Harland Williams. It wasn't horrible but I didn't really like Lavell Crawford's material and I wish that Amy Schumer didn't get axed. Maybe I will get a chance to meet her before I leave for the coast.
I saw that
NBC is casting for American Gladiators. I think its funny because the 80's episodes have been playing on ESPN Classic. I don't know if it will work on network TV anymore since it's funny when it's nostalgic.
I have been apartment searching and it seems that I think I want to be back in old stomping grounds. The apartments aren't as cheap as I wanted but a little less than where I live now. I know a bunch of the UCB peeps live up in the hills but I don't think I want to be all the way up there.
NYC has been coming up with more
rat problems at such places like Blue Water Grill, Peter Luger, Blue Ribbon, and Da Silvano. Gross. I have eaten at some of those places. A lot of them either have denied a problem. Others blame it on renovations or contruction near the restaurants.

I went to School Night and it was awesome. All the acts were awesome. Loretta was great and Katie was very cute but appearently she is taken. Rob O'Reilly was great even though I have seen him a bunch. Kate & Shelly did some great scenes, my favorite was the park scene. Zach Woods performed and I laughed hard at his EMT flirting. Bunsen & Beaker played by Charlie Sanders and Eugene Cordero, performed some musical comedy that was really funny. Jon Guterez performed with Ben Schwartz and did some awesome improv and Hot Sauce went up last and brought the hilarity.
I have been ranting about the newest dessert promotion from Domino's. It's an Oreo Pizza. I don't know what the bottom crust is made of but it makes me ill thinking about how it might taste, especially after eating a Domino's pizza.
I first saw it on the
Domino's commercial and it didn't end up entertaining me. It made me want to stay away. Maybe because I am getting older I don't have such an appreciation for sweets but it also looks likt you would need a lot of milk to deal with the dryness.
Tomorrow is Cage Match and possibly a preview of whats to come at SummerSlamMania. Chubby Chase is taking on Derrick. It's sure to be a great improv battle.

Maybe I will be the next Randy Newman
I didn't get much sleep last night. I guess the stress coming from all the excitement is make sleep difficult. I woke early today but felt exhausted. I got dressed in my Sunday best and headed to my big meeting for the West Coast gig.
I got on the E train to get up to 57th switching to the A when I got to 50th. On the A, we moved 100 feet and then stopped between stations for 15 minutes. I was scared that this was going to screw my chances with this last meeting.
I got to the office just one minute late. A guy that I met with before, serving as a conduit between me and the giants determining my fate, was waiting for me outside. He walked me inside and up to one of the offices upstairs. I sat with one of the big boys and it was a pretty casual meeting. After the meeting he walked me back to the other office and gave a thumbs up. I am moving! Hold crap cracker.
I called Deanna to tell the news and see when she was coming into the city. She told me she couldn't make it today and that she would be here tomorrow. She will only be available probably for only the evening but she will have opportunities to come back another time.
I am watching Beauty and the Geek right now. I think because I am trying to slack when there is really nothing on and my life got pretty exciting today. I think I am going to see Liberty Inn and C,C+C. Thursday is Cage Match.
When I hear more about my deadlines and final offer, I will announce the plans for the going away party.

Was it good for you?
Yes the weekend is over and it was ok. I edited a promo movie for the SummerSlamMania. I then went to Boulevard Tavern after that and saw Joan, Harold and Paul. I hope Joan didn't end up getting more that a walk home because it looked a little weird. The whole vibe in the bar was odd. It might have been a full moon. Barrett came in the bar and went into the back. He said something to Harold which got him cut off from being served. Then Harold came into the bar, Barrett said something else and then ended up getting kicked out. When he left, he kicked a bicycle's rim really hard not realizing that it probably belonged to one of the local Mexicans. When the bar closed, Harold game me a lift to the subway station and I went straight home. It's nice when I wake up in my bed and not on the couch.
I received an email from Poker Stars saying that they gave me $5 for free to play with. It was cool since I never could find a good freeroll on that server. I played some today, I was losing at the first table but then after switching tables I ended up coming away with a whole 18 cents richer.
I was google-ing the other day for my name and I found this:
To the new girl...topic posted Tue, January 25, 2005 - 2:14 PM by Siviak Mellissa, I am sorry that you choose to come to work for this company. I am sorry they made me your boss. I am sorry for taking you out with TommEE and Bink on your second week with the company, I am sorry we got so hammered, I am sorry that Christie felt the need to show everyone her tits, I am sorry for the fact that Christie felt the need to show everyone YOUR tits just after that, and I am sorry that you are scared for life now. Please don't be late to work.
It took me a couple of days what this was referring to but I figured it out:

Kristie was in Las Vegas with me because she missed my Birthdaycon in 2005. She decided to make a trip with me to make up for missing the event. We met Siviak, Xtacy, Snow, Bink and L0ndo and ended up going to Double Down for a bunch of drinks but if any lady doesn't know, it's not a great place to go the bathroom if you are female. It is just a disgusting bathroom.
We ended up at the Office Bar and when we were there we got very lewd. Kristie and I took our tops off, then Melissa starting flirting with Kristie. I remember going home from there I think. In the end, I asked if Kristie was interested in inviting Melissa and Kristie said no. I was thinking " good".
Kristie mailed me a card about a month ago and I hope I see her sometime. Who knows, if I get the West Coast gig, then I might be able to.

Enjoy tonight, next party Sunday won't be till October
That's right, it's the last night to party on this holiday weekend.
The next one won't be here until we celebrate Columbus' birthday. Since I didn't go out last night after Vicki's show, I ended up in front of the TV for a bunch. I saw a commercial from Billy Mays for the
Awesome Auger. A funny thing about it was how Billy was showing how fast you can create holes for your flower bed at great speed. He demonstrates creating three holes and planting three flowers in about eight seconds. I don't know who would need to plant that fast. It maybe could be then next plot for Speed III. I did see someone who did order one and their story is
here, she or he ordered it for medical reasons but goes on to say how it was a huge rip-off.
TV was good to me last night. I got to see some Welcome Back
Kotter. I haven't seen that show since I was knee high. The episodes that I was watching, didn't have John Travolta. Not too big of a deal. I did also see that the DVD release of Bosom Buddies is set for Tuesday. I don't know if it is the whole first season but it would be cool to see the pilot/first episode.
I am a little disappointed that I awoke late this morning. I wanted to head out to my old home on Governors Island. It looks like I will have to wait till next summer, if I still live in the area. I do have to clean the house a bunch because Deanna is going to show up Tuesday.
Tuesday I do have to meet with the people that hold my apartment location in their hands. I was told that I am the number one person for this gig but I am still nervous none-the-less. It is exciting. I could be moving before the end of the month. Not many of my West Coast friends know and only a couple of my NY friends know. I was a little concerned about leaving the NY comedy scene but my pal Brian told me that I will be fine. He also told me that there will be a bunch more commercial opportunities out there too.
Well off to play some online poker.

Last Saturday of the Summer
Everything Summer-like is closing this weekend. I am trying to visit Governors Island since they close on September 2nd. All the beaches and pools are closing. I definitely have an appreciation for the West Coast or California and Nevada. They don't seem to end the beaches and stuff when the holidays come along. The weather stays warm until October also, then you have Halloween to distract you from the parks and pools.
I would like to get out of town for a while. I haven't seen my mother in a long time but it seems our schedules don't match sometimes. She wanted me to come over last night but I had to drop off the Half Empty DVDs for Rachael and I wanted to play in Jammin' with Ralph.
Since it's a holiday weekend, if I don't see my mom, I think I might stay home. I could get some cleaning done. I went out to Boulevard Tavern last night at 2am and I didn't end up leaving until 7am. It was weird when I caught the train though. I guess they were running late. After the train stopped at Graham, I got on, then they skipped the rest of the Brooklyn stops and didn't stop until we got to Union Square. Weird.
I should have a promo video for UCBW SummerSlamMania up Monday or Tuesday. I was working on it last night. I have some cool ideas but I need to go back through my tapes to replay some of the really great matches.
I am watching Godzilla on FX and a Spanish Time Warner commercial just came on. Uh, was that intentional? It was strange. Either way, I never saw the 1998 Godzilla film.
