Ug, early morning

Today I woke because of my email alert on my phone. It was a work thing and I was not happy since it wasn't an emergency issue. Last night I met up with Max and Alaina at the Blue Moon for some Mexican food. After we walked over to Alaina's house and slack for a bit. I wanted to go out, so Max and I ended up at the Double Down. It was ok, a little warm in the bar but I saw Jamie the bartender and Seth was DJing. The bar was crowded with some college types who didn't really belong in there but it happens some times.

We left Double Down because there wasn't too many people that we knew and it was getting kind of lame. We headed up to Lucy's for a couple of drinks. It was a bit warm there too but the drinks are really cheap. We walked back to Alaina's house, smoked a cigarette and I headed home. I checked my myspace one more time since I started a new profile and then went to bed.

Tomorrow I have work and I will rest, Tuesday is Harold Night.

Awesome friday.

Last night I ended up going to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. I attended Death by Roo Roo and I saw Crystal and Tao. The show was awesome. I gave them their movie line suggestion because people often give them a line like "Show me the money" or something else like that. I gave them the suggestion "When you get to be my age, you have to do double anal". For those who don't know, that line is from Orgazmo.

After the show was Jammin with Ralph. It's a show where improvisers can throw their names in a bucket to be selected to perform with fwand and others. Crystal, Tao and I were already there but we then saw Tim M., Megan, Dave, Ben and Amy attend also. I was picked to perform in the second group. When Dominick chose my name, he said "This must be a joke. 'tommEE pickles?'". Shannon with surprise, said "No, that's a real guy" and I got on stage. There was about 12 of us on stage with John Gabrus and Shannon O'Neil.

The suggestion was wake boarding and it seemed there was hesitation for anyone to walk out. I walked out and another friend John Fudala. I initiated with a lifeguard scene that turned into fashion police. The funny part was the back line was tagging out my partners and I was in a lot of scenes in a la ronde. I was finally tagged out and I did the last scene with Gabrus. In the next groups scenes, Shannon pretended to reveal the false identity of a priest and ripped of his costume while saying "You aren't a priest, you are tommEE pickles". She cracked up and it was funny for all.

After the show I wanted to go out but I looked at the time and it was already was 2am. I decided to go sleep.

Today I had my improv workshop. We didn't have Billy as our coach again. Instead we had Bobby Moynihan who was great on giving notes and input. He had some great stories about Los Angeles and I could relate since I lived there for three years. I cannot wait to see some more of his stuff with Charlie Sanders. It was bad news hearing that Billy is probably moving to Los Angeles soon, this could effect new classes with him. Billy is an awesome teacher.

After the workshop, Amy, Ben, Phlip, Summer, Megan, Tao and I went to BRGR for some food and talked a whole bunch. On our way out we bumped into Jeff Hiller and then we saw Brandon. I walked home and now I am going to take a nap.

Tonight I have no plans. So we will find out later.

What an upset, and the weather sucks too.

Last night we ended skpping out practice group. The reason was that there was only 4 of us that were close to going. It wouldn't been a good time with just four people. I watched The Office and 30 Rock. After that I went over to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater to watch this week's Cage Match. It was Jawnee Conroy Allstarz versus the champion Reuben Williams. The Jawnee Conroy Allstarz were really funny. Some highlights were the Improv Prop Comedy and the Lesbian Driving Instruction. Reuben Williams was as extremely funny as usual. The shock was that after 13 solid weeks, Reuben Williams was finally beaten. The new champions are Jawnee Conroy Allstarz with a score of 42 - 33.

Today is finally Friday and I think I am going to nap after work. I think I will end up going to see Death by Roo Roo because Rob Riggle is performing with them. Also tonight is Jamming with Ralph with members of fwand at midnight. I am planning on attending since I haven't gone yet and I am a huge fan of fwand. AA bunch of my improv friends are going to attend also.

Tomorrow I have my improv workshop and then I don't have any plans. I thought I would have heard from Tina but I haven't. I hope she is ok. I know she had some ulcer issue but I have no idea. Her mother was in town too so she might still be busy with all of that. We are due for a movie night at the pickle pad too.

Thursday is just one day closer to Friday

Last night I ended up going to Caroline's to see Cece perform. I headed home and saw a really good episone of LOST. It appears that the second to last line was "but all the passengers of flight 815 are dead". Awesome!

After Lost I headed to UCB for School Night. Highlights were the Working Girls, the firm of Pally, Rodgers... Silvija and Gav were great too. I went to see Orphan Tycoon which did a good sketch instead of their improv.

Tomorrow I have practice group and cage match.

Wednesday, April 25, 2007

Oh what a night... Its a comedy night and a drama night.

I just saw Cece Lederer perform some stand-up at Caroline's. It was the first time I saw her perform standup material and it was good. The guy before her didn't warm up the crowd well so it was an uphill time for Cece but she did fine. I saw someone who recognized me, we met when I hung out with Amy. We talk for a bit then Cece left, I left after that.

Tonight I plan on watching Lost. I have an interest to run up to UCB for School Night. Orphan Tycoon is performing and I am friends with Rebecca and Dave. They are both cool people. Tomorrow I have my practice group and Cage Match is after that, Friday is either movie night or a night of rest.

Before I signoff, I just saw a commercial about KY Intrigue. They made the commercial seem romantic with a little sensual thrown in. When is a lubed up vag speaking romantic, it looks like a Calvin Kline commercial and it speaks of long lasting lube for late night grind. Bogus.

Um, I am sorry... I just found this, from Shawn's Birthday

Oops I did it again...

Yesterday after work I rushed down to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater to warm up before our performance. It started out with us being split up into two groups of seven players. I started in the first group and warmed up.We came up with a good name for the team, Spork Finger, but Billy then came up to us bringing us female player because the other team had too many girls. He then asked for a volunteer to go to the other team, I volunteered.

I was now on the team Rhino-ocourous (sp?). We were to go on second. I saw my friends Max and Alaina in the audience and then I saw Harold come in. Despite from having awsome partners and friends in the audience, I had a bad performance. I made a huge mistake and I was not the best performer. Good parts were, the opening was fun. Cece is fun to play with. I won the prick race. After the show I saw Vicki with Max and Alaina. She couldn't stick around because she had worok. Me, Max and Alaina headed to Cafeteria for a good dinner. After I went home and straight to bed.

Tonight I am heading to Harold Night at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Tomorrow is Cece's performance at Caroline's. LOST is on Wednesday too. Thursday is Cage Match. Friday is Movie Night at tommEE's. Saturday is wide open after workshop.

Oh crazy...

Last night I went to Max's for a BBQ and it was fun stuff. After having fun with all the gang I ended up going to Boulevard Tavern. I ended up closing the bar with Ria and Harold and then they drove me to the train station. I know I got home after sunrise but I am not sure what time I went to bed. I woke up feeling like doodie but I did have a lot to drink. I found out Camille and Greg are leaving for Australia in May, so there will be a party at Fontanas.

Tomorrow I will be performing with my friends at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater at 6:30pm. The show is only $5 and you will be treated to a whole hour of comedy made up on the spot. Photography is allowed but without flash. The bar is not open so it's bring your own beer.

The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater is located at 307 West 26th Street on the corner of 8th Avenue.

Saturday, April 21, 2007

Holy Crap, that's some tasty weather!

I am currently on my way to Max's house for a BBQ thing. Its very enjoyable weather.

Last night I met up with Max and Alaina to see Death by Roo Roo. After we headed to Westside Tavern for some drinks and pool. Two things I noticed, the Lounge inside Westside Tavern is a gay Lounge; and this woman playing pool with us was too fat to be wearing a thong, with jeans, with it sticking out. Plus the fat girl cheated at pool.

Today I had my improv workshop. It was a good time and Billy was there. He apologized for not being there last week but he is filming something for the CMT channel.

After class I went home to take a nap.

CASTING NOTICE

REBECCA DRYSDALE/DISPOSABLE TELEVISION/HBO

NO AUDITION!!!

EVERYBODY IS IN!!!

Hello everybody in Improvland!

This is Rebecca Drysdale. Some of you may know me from my one woman
show, or Let’s Have a Ball or other things, and some may not know me at
all, but either way I need your help! I am shooting a series for HBO.COM
called “Rebecca Drysdale is a Time Traveling Lesbian”, it is about a
chick who lives in the east village, dabbles in Improv and works at
Kim’s video until one day she is suddenly called upon to become an elite
time traveling crime fighter. It’s sort of like Quantum Leap meets The L
Word. Yes, your prayers have been answered.

WHERE DO I COME IN? (I hear you cry)

I need you and your friends/ as many people as possible to come be in a
few scenes at the theatre. There are a few improv show scenes, and a big
studio 54 disco dancing scene. What’s in it for you?! Get a load of this:

a) No money (as it tends to distract from the pure artist’s love of comedy)

b) Pizza Pizza Pizza or burritos or whatever. (cause farts are funny)

c) A chance to be in HBO’s first web series. (direct path to superstardom)

d) A chance to wear disco clothes and party, then stop, then do another
take, then stop again. (fun with breaks)

The list goes on and on! I’m not gonna lie to you, this isn’t gonna make
stars of any of us, but it’ll be a lot of fun and will be on HBO.com in
Junish. We are shooting until 5:00pm at the UCB, but hey, you’re not
getting’ paid so if you gotta go you gotta go!

SO HERE’S WHAT TO DO:

Send an email to timetravel@beckdrys.com
with your name that says “yes I want to
be in the show and I’ll be at UCB at 1:00pm on Friday the 20^th and I’ll
bring disco clothes so I can change into them for the big disco scene”
or something along those lines. That’s it.

Then be at UCB at 1:00pm on Friday the 20^th for a few hours of shooting
and a lot of dancing!

BRING DISCO CLOTHES WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE THEM!!!!

Tonight, Sky Goldfarb and the Captain

Hey kids, its finally Thursday.

Yesterday, we were talking about the backup/restore test at work and I might have to rewite my script in perl. I don't like writing in perl because I learned C++ and I have trouble with the syntax.

After work I ordered some food and waited for primetime television. I watched Thank God Your Here but the only funny was Tom Green destroying the set. LOST was on, frist a repeat and then the new episode. It was ok, cliffhanger at the end. A helecopter falls in the ocean. Desmond thinks its his girlfriend but when they find the survivor, its not and they don't know who it is but they found a book with a picture of Desmond and his girlfriend. Maybe she crashed somewhere else on the island. So what now. More freaking romance on Gilligan's Island?

After the show I watched some news on the Virginia Tech shooter, then some Family Guy.I went to bed about midnight but woke up with stomach pains around 5 am. I tried going to bed but the pain sucked. I finally felt better just beofre work. I took a couple.of disco naps and went to work.

After work I have my improv practice group and then I will be going to Cage Match with the gang. Tomorrow I was thinking about seeing Hot Fuzz with Max and Alaina. Saturday seemed like a good day to Catch Reuben Williams after my workshop. Sunday will be brunch and rest. Don't forget my show on Monday.

Was that Danny Hammy?

Happy hump-day and it's LOST Wednesday. I hope everyone is having fun. Last night I went to Caroline's right after work to see Vicki's debut on Broadway. Outside I waited for Danny and Jeremy out front so we could sit at the same table. There were about 5 comics ahead of Vicki so it was good timing to eat some food before we were uncontrollably laughing. Vicki came out and had a great set. She had the place going. Her act is timed perfectly also. After Vicki was another comic and then Darrell Hammond hit the stage. He was just coming off of an injury so he was a little hopped up on the Vicodin and a little dazy but he was funny. Some idiots in the back we shouting "Do Bill Clinton'. It sucks when people treat you for a one trick pony.

Outside we talked with Darrell. He said he was doing Conan next week. I asked why was he appearing on Conan and what he was plugging. He told me that he is still on contract with SNL and he thinks they will make him do some political stuff since we are approaching the race. After that some out-of-towners asked us, "Who was that you were talking to?". We told them it was Darrell Hammond. I could have sworn that I heard them saing with their accents "That was Darry Hammy".

We left Caroline's and headed to Starbucks and Vicki, Danny, Jeremy and I sat and talked for an hour or so. I plugged my improv show on Monday. We talked about Vicki's Rascals show in New Jersey. Danny was thinking about starting a show at Caroline's. He has a show starting at Rose's Turn soon too. After Starbucks I went home and fell asleep pretty easy. I was exhausted.

Tonight I am looking forward to some sleep. I will first grab some dinner and watch my favorite program LOST. Only five episodes left to the season and I have no idea what my Wednesdays will hold in the future. Tomorrow Cage Match, Saturday workshop, Monday improv show.

Long winded... uh, long awaited update.

Sunday night was meant for slacking and that's what I did. I went to the liquor store because I learned they had Papio. Papio is one of my favorite inexpensive wines. It comes from California and it is known for its fruity undertones. When I got there they only had Merlot and white left. I bought a bunch and drank half a bottle before going to bed.

Monday I went into work and started writing the script for the backup comparisons I am going to do. After work I headed to Barnes and Noble and bought a scripting recipe book to give me some ideas for Tuesday and the scripts I was writing. I also bought the latest issue of Hakin9. This one is ok, not too much I didn't know already but I did see they covered IPcop and I never saw that in action. I might try it out. I use smoothwall right now and I love it.

Last night there was some TV I wanted to see. The Deal or No Deal was so-so and uninspiring. Right after that was the show Thank God You're Here. I have to say that I don't think this show will last. Its trying to include a host, Dave Foley. To decide a winner of the show like Who's Line is it Anyway. David Allen Greir isn't that good either. The show seems it is going to tank. Oh well.

Today has better weather than the last couple of days. I did a lot for the script but I have to wait for some other information. Tonight I have plans to meet Danny and Jeremy at Caroline's to see Vicki perform. It was funny because I saw Vicki along with other people I know on Motherload on Comedy Central. They were in some comedian crash course from Gotham Comedy Club.

Later I don't know for sure if I will be at Harold Night or not. Wednesday is wide open, Thursday I will be going to Cage Match. Friday I have no idea but it should be an early night because of improv workshop on Saturday night. Saturday I will be balls out, ok figuratively.

Sunday, April 15, 2007

It's raining, it's pouring, the delivery persons are ignoring.

Friday night was fun. I was supposed to go out with Tina. She was supposed to take her test and then go out to celebrate. I tried getting a hold of her and meet her at Revival but she texted me and said she was staying in. I called Max and Alaina to see what their plans were. We decided to get some dinner on the Lower East Side. We ended up going to Duke's Bar for a couple drinks and then we ended up at a restaurant called Orologio. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was perfect for dining. I still perfer the food at Frutti di Mare but this was just delicious.

While standing outside smoking we were suprised by Dawn and Eli. We talked for a bit but we said we would meet up with them later. We tried calling them after we paid our check but we didn't get through. We decided to head down to Double Down to see if they were there. We found out that they were next door at Mo' Pitkins but they were on the way out. We stayed at Double Down for a couple of drinks. I saw Jamie bartending and I also bumped into Seth from the Blackout Shoppers.

Saturday I went to my improv workshop and it was a good class. Billy Merritt wasn't there but Shannon my last teacher was the sub. It ended up being a great time and the Harold scenes I did with a guy named Dan felt really good and got some good reactions. After class Phlip, Cece and I went to get food at Brgr.

Later I received a call from Tina and she said she wasn't in the mood to go out. She didn't do well on her test and she was in a funk. I made plans with Alaina and Max to see Hot Sauce at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. There I got to see Phlip, Tao, Crystal, and Amy. The show was awesome. After we got some food at a diner and ended the night at Westside Tavern playing pool.

It is Sunday and it's pouring rain. The nor'easter has arrived. It started raining last night but not hard. The big storm was supposed to hit us by 8:00 AM and it's going to last till about 8:00 PM.

I saw some good news on a blog. Appearently as of 04/09 The Black Donnellys was cancelled meaning that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was picked up for another season. Other good news was 10 Items or Less was ordered for another season too. Lost has another season which means we will be tortured with more fustrations again.

I am not too upset about the rain because I saw that SciFi is playing The Stand. I haven't seen it in a long time and it should occupy my day. I am copying DVDs and basically slacking. I have to write a script tomorrow for some backup comparisons and catch up on some sleep.

Friday, April 13, 2007

Hey Kids, We made it. The weekend is here.

Today the weather got chilly but at least it's not raining. Last night Max, Alaina and myself went to Cage Match at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. It was Bombardo vs. the champion Reuben Williams. Bombardo definitely had a good following but Reuben Williams still won with a score of 81 -38. Reuben Williams was truly funny, huge props to Eric Scott. I saw Amy Lizka there last night too, it was great bumping into her. I would have hung with her more but we both had our friends with us. After the show Max, Alaina and I went to get some food and then we called it a night.

Today I went to work. It was an ok day. I installed Apache and PHP on a Apple OSX server. It wasn't that bad, it was just a pain because Apple doesn't make it completely documented these little things that should be standard and APT and FINK do not have PHP.

Tonight I think I am going to join Tina in celebrating her test taking ability. I cannot stay out late because I have my improv workshop in the early day. Saturday night I believe me, Tina, Max and Alaina are going to see Hot Sauce. Thats all I know for now but here is a video I think you will like and I will post the second episode soon.

Thursday, April 12, 2007

Yesterday LOST, today I am found...

Hey people, what sucky weather. Yesterday was nice compared to today. I didn't plan on anything last night so I ended up ordering some greasy soul food and watching TV. I got stuck watching The World According to Jim. Wow, what people will put on TV. Then finally LOST came on. It didn't solve any issues and it just added more questions. There are five more episodes till the end of the season. I bet they lose even more watchers since this show is turning into a retarded Gilligans Island.

Today after work, I have to visit the accountant and get the taxes done. Later I am expected to go to Cage Match. Friday I will be drinking with Tina, to celebrate her certifided test taking thing. Saturday I was improv workshop in the early day. Saturday there is another party also.

Tuesday, April 10, 2007

Pain Pain, go away. Come again another day.

Last night after work I went to party for Doritos and Heavy. It was awesome. It was held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel and the open bar was top shelf. There was a great DJ who was mixing a lot of 70's and 80's music with house and techno. Then the Doritios characters came out. Two people dressed as two different flavored Doritos and a couple people dressed as monsters. It was funny when one of the characters got eccorted out of the party. I got home just before midnight I think.

Today my head is a little plainful. After work, I am going to see Harold Night at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. I think I will stay in Wednesday and watch LOST.

Sunday, April 08, 2007

Those eggs taste nasty! Thanks Bunny.

Yesterday I did some chores around the apartment. I put away some clothes which aren't fit for wearing. I need to get some hangers but I am happy for what I accomplished. After taking out the trash and sending back my netflix DVDs I went out.

I decided to head out to Boulevard Tavern. After the cold walk I arrived to see Camile, Greg and Steve. I sat at the bar and played some Megatouch for a while. Later I got food from Harold and talked with Ria, George and Tim. I expected to leave around 1am but I lost track of time haning out with Paul and checking ID's of youngins for an after party.

My head doesn't hurt like it would normally. I think it's because of the bar food and the water I drank. I woke up later than I usually would have but thats good, it means I slept well. It's Easter and I haven't called Mom in a while, so I gave it a shot. We talked about everything under the moon. I told her I might pick up my car soon but I am still worried about snow right now. As I was saying that, it started flurrying out here. After the phone call, I worked on my work's mail server. I am still messing with Qmail's queue.

Tonight I think I will stay in, I was thinking about stopping into the Charleston to see my friend Molly but I am a little tired. Tomorrow I am going to a party at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. It's got an open bar and it should be pretty fun. Since a bunch of my work companions have left their job, I decided I would bring Tina with me.

Eh, maybe I will pick up the car next Friday.

No Donald Trump for me

I am a little bummed but it's for the best. I was supposed to meet a friend in Atlantic City but plans got fubar'ed. I would still go by myself but Atlantic City is pretty depressing. I think for now I will do some apartment stuff.

Last night, after work I headed to McCormacks to grab dinner and drinks with my friends. Most interesting was the battle hammer that Bobcat made for Vince. I had to leave early because I had plans to see other friends perform at Under Saint Marks.

I got to the theater, I never had been there before. I saw Dominick on the way in and Shannon was collecting entry fee. Rebecca and David were in the first group to perform in their group Orphan Tycoon. They were great and had lots of fans in the audience. Tantrum was next and they are awesome, Fran looked really cute too. Last, fwand took the stage and they were spectacular. I saw Melissa and Britt as I was walking out too.

I took off after the show and I walked uptown and decided to pop into Revival. I saw Devin, Adam and Danielle. Danielle told me that Greg was going to take my friend Randy's Horror script writing class. I had a drink but I was feeling tired. I decided to go home because I was planning on going to Atlantic City this morning and needed some sleep.

I got up this morning and emailed about going and found out plans were cancelled. It was a bummer since I didn't have workshop today and the next six weeks I don't have my Saturdays free. bah.

Maybe tonight I will catch a movie. I will ask Max and Alaina if they want to go. I thought of seeing the Reaping but it's not playing at the theater I would like to see it. I guess I have some research to do.

We are so close to the weekend

Last night I was all about the sick. Right after I took a shot of Nyquil, I get acall from our colocation provider about a HTTP alert. They were getting a 403 error. I asked what were they looking at, they said 'I don't know'. It was they were monitoring our /var/log/messages and they saw an error. It had nothing to do with them. It was also in the logs for hours, nice catch.

Today work was ok. I am still a little sick but better than yesterday. John, my coworker, had his last day. It sucked because as much as he was teaching me about the company, I was also teaching him admin and security stuff. I added more monitors to Nagios and edited some documents.

I got home after work and watched some TV. There was a new Office and a new 30 Rock. They both were awesome and made up for the shitty LOST yesterday. I am now getting ready to go to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater to see Cage Match.

Tomorrow is Friday and I first will head up to McCormacks to see the port0 people. After that I am going to Under Saint Marks to see Orphan Tycoon with Tantrum and fwand. Then this weekend I am excited because I am going to Atlantic City. I haven't been there in over 10 years. Woo!

Sorry about the missing blog

I have been so busy that I just didn't have those moments when I sit still for five minutes to blog. Since April 1st the CTO, of the company I work for, left. So we, the employees, divided up some of the work. Monday I went to Revival and I hung out with Devin, Mike and Kevin. I was going to perform at the PIT for Beyond Improdome but I decided I wanted a break from the improv. Tuesday I went to Harold Night and saw Tantrum, Beverly Hills, T.R.U.C.K.S, 1985 and fwand. Awesome evening. Funniest scenes was Gregory DeSantis and Tim Curcio doing a date rape scene and American Idol scene. Another was Nate Lang and Adam Pally, Nate said 'pull' and Adam started jerking him off. Funny.

Today I woke up since, I caught a fever or something. I took some Airborne this morning but it didn't make me feel well enough to leave the apartment. If I did leave I would go see Vicki perform at the Broadway Comedy Club but that would be bad for my health. This weather is yucky. Tonight is LOST and I don't have faith in it being a good one. Tomorrow is Cage Match and its Reuben Williams (10-0) versus 1985. Friday I am going to see my friends in Orphan Tycoon perform as well as fwand and Tantrum. Saturday I am going to Atlantic City and I am as excited as a school girl.

Late night report, April Fools Edition

Last night was all about boobs and hair. I got together with Amy, Megan, Crystal and Tao. We all saw WrestleSlamMania II at the Upright Citizens Brigade. It was awesome. It started with Chuck McMahon playing an April Fools Joke on the audience by being nice. A huge highlight was the Womens Ladder Match. It was great because they refused to put the ladders under the belt. The other highlight from that match was Lezzie Steele firing cheese out of her womenhood.

Today was mellow because of the rain. A funny joke by Improv Everywhere emailed saying they had to change their name. They were going to change the name to Humor in Public Places, HIPP. Heh. Anyway, I ended the evening with a standup show at Don't Tell Mama. Vicki and Danny performed. Vicki did new material and it was good, Danny did some new material also that worked for me but not some of the others. The crowd wasn't large and most of the paying auidience was from North Carolina. The was a woman who could have passed for Deanna's twin who kept of talking to the comedians during their act. Her name was Ashby and she was pretty drunk. It was histerical. I walked with one of the comedians till I got to the train. She seemed she needed some reassuring about her act.

Tomorrow is Beyond Improdome but I think I am taking a break from it this week. Maybe I will hit a show at UCB or play cards at Revival.
